Its Friday!!! For some people it means weekend comes relax and chill mode. Well for us its defnettly not that kind of life we live - we always on the Go , wich we love , thats why we doing what we doing.
This week was a special week, it was Melpo Mellz Bday on Nov 16th - happy bday to me , lol ( But its not like Im celebratin my bday) only when im feelin like it, but I had a nice bday, I speant it with family n close friends and latah went to teach at our classes in Solna =)
Yesterday Thursday I had a class in Kulturama för Musikal Linjen , it was fun , I mean they have never ever seen dancehall before so it wa snice and I had them today too as well as another class .
Yesterday in Tyresö some of the kids I teach ( So Mad Crew) baked bday cake for me - Prinsess tårta, Kladd kaka and Lussekatter =D They are soooooooooooooooo sweet u cant ask for better students<3 Here is a nice picture after practice =D
Speaking of So Mad crew- The girls are gonna enter a competion at The Late Show Down its an event for kids from 13.18 years old...Its a Basket ball tournament as well as Best Show Case it starts at 8 pm - 2 pm plus Tyresös youngest kids will performe at 9 pm they are between 7-11 years old trained by Erica and Amanda...Hope to see u there people

We havent updated in a looong time, we been having lots to do since summer...show from show to worskhops to shows again.
We even had 2 dancers from Portuagal that came all the way from their homecountry to take our classes =) That means a loooot, makes my work worth doing it even more.

Yesterday I was teaching in Tyresö my weekly classes and Franci was on a promotion job for Tommy Hillfiger, I couldnt do it bcaz of my work so we sent one of my students to do it and see how it is in the real world in the entertainer buisness. We dont just teach them to become good dancers but we guide them as well and giving them the opportunities to try the " real world" as we been doing it long time now.

This girls teach as well their own classes and have their own crews but we work together as well and much more to come.
Than on Sunday Melpo and Franci ( DOUBLE TROUBLE ) we go to Örebro a city outside Stockholm to teach there ...Eve Bruk Out has invited us , we excited it will be maaaaaaad fuuuuuun trust me guys u should come =) Its for free for all memebers of Eves Brukout Crew and its 100 kr for the rest of the guys or 150 for two classes...Its nutten , very cheap

So as u all know Don Omar is a huge artist that came to Sweden for tha first time a little while ago so you already know its was an honer to open tha mans show!!!!!!! We was asked in a very short notice so there was not so much time! the artis name that we danced with is Miguel and he sent us the songs an we was like YESSSSS its a go love tha songs !! Large up ur self Miguel. So it was SHOW time and it was a sold out show think dat was a beautiful thing all my gualas was there showing support!!!So just wanna give a shout out to tha whole crew!!! Leadin Dancehall Starz in Sweden DOUBLE TROUBLE that actually brought the dancehall dance scene to Sweden , yes u heard right we been doin this for years and years , sooo yeees here we are takin ova....hehehe plus with us for that day joining us we have Imenella and Elisabeth ( So Mad Dance Crew) We gonna have maaaaaaaad fun, hope we will c lots of femiliar faces there..Now the next show same day...

So its been busy busy busy 3 weeks and more busy , hehehe luuuvn it =)
Last week we Kings Music production ( Melpo and Mike ) and Ölands Roots presnted Tnez Europe Tour so of course Tnez ( JA ) had a shows in Sweden.he was in Öland roots Festival,Gothenburg, Stockholm and Örebro where I performed some of ma songs, =D
The Europe Tour went good now on to the next . Today we have Erup in Stockholm, Sweden presented by Soundbank Music and KingsMusic Production and this is also at Mango Bar, Stockholm Sweden hopefully will get the place packed as always =)
Dj for the night is Dj Yangstar, Dj Patuu and Major Vibez alwaysgiving u the best music ever.
Melpo Mellz from DOUBLE TROUBLE CREW are booked for a workshop in Helsinki Finland presented and invited by Bubblin Moves. First time keeping a workshop in Finland, have only been there to do a show so its gonna be niiiiice,maaaad excited!!!

Its gonna be 2 days of just straight dance dance dance until we drop and on latah on Saturday and Sunday its party time in Finland at some dancehall spots around Helsinki is gonna be even more maaaaaaaad.
A week after we came back from our big adventourus trip from Jamaica we kept a Summer Camp for kids and adults in Tyresö Stockholm Sweden for the second year in a road 2010 was the first year of the DOUBLE TROUBLE SUMMER CAMP!!!!
WE HAD MAAAA FUN AS ALWAYS..we didn know what to expect and who would come , so first hour at the first day we met everybody and had a meeting to see who was there and how many levels it would be.
We were supposed to be 3 teachers Melpo and Franci ( Double Trouble ) and Martha but Martha got sick so we were on our own - we had to plan and rescedule the whole thing from the beginning but It went good at the end, hahaha..
So for 4 days it was booot camp and they learned a lot , trust me a lot . they had classes from Dancehall - hiphop - house to mixed up Choreographys to Freestyle, dancing in heels and learning how to walk - Boot camp,crunshes push ups you name it. So from -----10 am - 3 pm----- it was just DANCE DANCE DANCE ooh and 30 min Lunch Break that was included on the price of the workshop.
As always we had 2 hours of watching videos from Jamaica and showing the students the culture, the dance and talking about the history of the dance and the music - ITS VERY IMPORTANT TO KNOW THE HISTORY !!!
Thats something I always do when i teach . I always talk abouyt the history and the dance so the studnets can get more knowledge about what dancehall is ....Been preaching about dancehall since 2004 --- wooooooooow , im surpised ma self , a lot of years...

As some of u know DOUBLE TROUBLE been featured in a movie - a dance movie - The reggea/dancehall movie A DANCE FOR GRACE that had premier in Jamaica and Carribean winter 2011....Now its time for UK reggea festival July 9 - Guess whos gonna be there - US OF COURSE!
Melpo and Franci are playin Natasha and Francine as the main dancers in the movie and we have a lil acting part as well =D
Melpo is also the choreographer of the Movie in the Battle Scenes for the Dancehall Crew.

So for all you out there that dont know Saturday is the day for dancin Dynamites- Its the day u performe and the day u pick new music and new challenge meaning could be anything , cause u draw it out of a bag!!!
And we dont know if u been following DOUBLE TROUBLE at Dancin Dynamites but if u have u probably noticed that we havent had the best of luck . We just finished our Disco Challenge and its time to gather all the dancers to pick. This weeks challenge could be anything , all different dance styles.
And since me ( Melpo ) picked the last 2 weeks we felt it was Francis turn ------ OOOOOH SHIIIIT!!! lol
U know what we got - MODERN DANCE!!!! Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeelp!!!!!
So sweating balls and beein all stressed out to run home and hear the music -we finally did and we got the most beautiful song that saved our asses!!! HAHAHAHA
We got ETANA - FREE , if u havent heard the song google it, lord is beautiful !! But we still had to do a modern choreography and we had no clue where to start only that we looooooooooooooved the song and we wanted to be free!!!
Anyways we let our emotions guide us and it was time to get to work!!!
During all of this at the same time we still had to gather votes and we had to do tour ----OMG!!!! Heeeeeelp
We pulled it off but boooooy it was a CHALLENGE!! Modern dance is not easy when it comes to tecnique u just dont wake up one day and have it , its something that u train for years and years!!!
Much respect cause me and Franci couldnt, laugh, walk or talk for the whole week , even the day of the show cause muscles cramping and body hurting but we were determined and dedicated to do a good job and I must say we did!!!
WANNA GIVE A BIG SHOUT OUT TO László Mészáros !!! Our Ballet teacher from 2004-2006 he really gave us the tools to manage in this kind of conditions best ballet teacher in the world!!!

Anyways we had to go to a Dancin Dynamite tour On thursday so that all day was booked for another show at a High school in Trealwny , wich is out in the country! Must say a very big high school!!!

Let me tell u this!! Least week Monday and Tueaday 21- 22 March was the gathering, get to know, worskhops for the Dancin Dynamites Finalist here in Jamaica. We are 12 crews ( duo) that made it in the 6th season of the Tv dance show Dancin Dynamite.
Sooooooooo...... Franci got very sick,food posion all week she got well on friday , the day before the show. While Franci was home sick as a dog Melpo was by her self workin and listening to what they had to say and also takin workshops in differnet styles. WOOOW!!! I sure Missed my partner =D
Anyways so the day came to pick the mix on wedsnday 4 days before the big show.
HAHAHAHAH - thats the only thing we can do otherwise cry!!
Since Franci has such a daaamn big BAD LUCK we decided it would be the best for us If I , Melpo picked the mix...let me laugh again, HAHA.
This is the rules..Nobody choose their own music or do their own mix, Dancin Dynamites provides for all of the music so they have a drowin and everybdoy gets to pick and u can get anything. From 12 crews u got 2 female crews so they were polite enough to do 2 female mixes HAHAH wich did not do anything for me and Franci for everybdoy that knows us.
U wanna know what we got...not even we knew what it was. We gonna post it up here so u can hear by ur self...But it was Sean Paul - come and get it and Beenie Man- Gimmie Gimmie and litterly only the Gimmie Gimmie part for 4 and a half eight counts...how much can we give u ..u cant shake ur ass for that long ..lol..no creativity..sooo it was hard especially when Franci got well the day before and I had a big lack of inpiration.
SO at 7 o clock PM on Friday nite it was time to get to work !!! Boy it was a challenge but hey thats why we here.
At 3 AM it was almost done so we decided to get som rest for a couple of hours.
Now the day is here its saturday and we supposed to be at Jamaica College were the competion was keepin at 2 PM.
Was everybody there, NO ...but we were , lol
So we had to learn the opening act that was 30 seconds plus rember our own thing..but the most traggic thing is that we wasnt able to show the Jamaican people what we are capable of . The theam was Dancehall!!!
But it was showtime and like the say the show must go on!!!
It was time to get focused and do what we came here to do no matter how we was feeling. So after sweating for ten hours straight it was time to hit the stage .
